Alan
E. Williams
Dr. Alan E. Williams is active as both a composer and
music researcher. He studied at Edinburgh and Manchester Universities,
and at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest. He has written on
the music of György Kurtág and Hungarian music, Peter Maxwell Davies,
connections of philosophy with music, and on Critical Theory. His music
has been performed at the Cheltenham International Festival of Music,
the Royal Festival Hall and at Universities in the U.K. and in Hungary.
His teaching covers 19th and 20th century art
